Quick Preview – Millers Away At Luton

|

Rotherham United travel to take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road this evening knowing that a win would take them out of the bottom three in readiness for the last game of the season.

Luton sit mid-table, twenty-one points better off than the Millers having drawn their home game with Middlesbrough on Saturday, their last home win coming against Watford last month.

After drawing one-all with Blackburn at the New York Stadium on Saturday the Millers lost their last away game one-nil at Brentford, their last away win being in March against Bristol City.

Hatters Manager Nathan Jones spoke to their Official Site ahead of this game saying, ‘We are concentrating solely on getting three points and we want to get three points because that will cement us a top-half finish.’

After missing the weekend game against Middlesbrough, Luton look like being without Jordan Clark again tonight with an ankle injury.

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told the Official Site that he thinks tonight’s opponents have done ‘really well’ saying, ‘Luton are a well organised side who have energy throughout the their team. For us to pick up anything we’re going to have to absolutely be at our best and take chances, we haven ‘t been ruthless enough with half-chances and above.’

The Millers are likely to be without Angus MacDonald who limped off early in the draw with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday but good news is that Matt Crooks will be back in contention after serving a three match ban. Paul Warne will have a decision to make over who is in goal with Viktor Johansson back after passing concussion protocols that kept him out of the last game or will he stay with Jamal Blackman who was in good form on Saturday.

The referee for this game is Lancashire’s David Webb.
