Rotherham United start the Easter weekend off with a Good Friday trip to Deepdale to take on Preston North End.

Coming into this game in ninth place Preston’s last two games have seen them lose at home to Stoke and beat Plymouth away.

The Millers are bottom of the pack with their last two away games seeing them lose five-nil although the game before the break saw them get a point in a goalless draw at home against Huddersfield Town.

Preston Manager Ryan Lowe probably won’t have Ched Evans available after a knee injury has kept him out since the beginning of January. Preston will be giving a late fitness test to Robbie Brady. A seventh minute and nineteenth minute exit against Plymouth could see Milutin Osmajic and Brad Potts struggling to make this game too.

Speaking to the Official Site ahead of the game Millers Head Coach Leam Richardson said that the Preston team have been together a while saying, ‘They work hard and they are very well drilled and have probably got a full squad. They willl offer a real strong challenge on Friday.’

Although earlier in the week it seemed that Christ Tiehi’s season had ended due to injury but this might not be the case. Saying that he has to be a doubt for this game as has Jordan Hugill. It could be that Tyler Blackett will be in the travelling squad after being named on the bench before the international break while both Viktor Johansson and Andy Rinomhota, who have been away with their countries, should be back for Friday’s game.

The referee for this game is Stephen Martin from Staffordshire.

  • Relegating Rotherham today says:

Clearly you don’t have to any research to write articles. If you had even bothered to look at the results properly you would have seen that Preston beat Plymouth not the other way round. Lazy and pathetic attempt. Hope you don’t get paid to do this.
