Millers Away At Burton Preview

|

Rotherham United make the short trip to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday to take on Burton Albion.

Like the Millers Burton lost their only home league game of the season while Rotherham won their away game at Wimbledon. Also like Rotherham the Brewers are through to the next round of the Carabao Cup beating Port Vale away with the Millers beating Shrewsbury away.

Both teams are on three points going into this game, Burton just above the Millers with a better goal difference.

Former Miller’s loanee Stephen Quinn might play after serving his ban for a red card in the opening game but Nigel Clough could stick with Kieran Wallace who replaced him. Richard Nartey is a doubt for this game but David Templeton will be available after recovering from a hip problem.

Rotherham Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield that Burton have some experience throughout their team and they play good football getting results on a regular basis. ‘Like everyone,’ said Warney, ‘they want to have a good home form and they will see us as an opportunity to get a win so we are going to have to be at our best to compete with them.’

Carlton Morris is not able to play after going off early in the game on Tuesday night with a head injury. Billy Jones could make the travelling squad after a heel injury has kept him out so far this season. Also missing is winger Julien Lamy who looks like being out until September but Joe Mattock, who missed out in mid-week with a rib injury, could make it.

The referee for the game is Nicholas Kinseley from Essex
