Rotherham United are on home soil for the second game in a row when they welcome Plymouth Argyle to the New York Stadium on Friday night.

The Millers are still rock bottom of the Championship but will be buoyed by a home win on Easter Monday against Millwall.

Plymouth are also struggling and come into this game just above the relegation places with their game on Monday ending in a one-nil home loss to Bristol City, their last away win being against Middlesbrough in February.

The Millers have a number of ongoing injury issues so there has to be doubts over Sean Morrison, Jordan Hugill, Tyler Blackett and Peter Kioso. Christ Tiehi is also a doubt while Grant Hall is still suffering from a hip injury and Andre Green is out for the season.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield ahead of this tie Millers Head Coach Leam Richardson said that Plymouth are a very good club. ‘They’ve spent some really shrewd money down there on assets to the football club. They’ve got some very good players who have been very well coached.’

A second yellow card for Alfie Devine on Easter Monday means the attacking midfielder is suspended for this game.

With Plymouth sacking their Head Coach Ian Foster a couple of days ago, Pilgrims Goalkeeper Michael Cooper stepped into the spotlight before the game on Friday telling their Official Site that, as a squad they have to look forward saying, ‘ hopefully we can go into Friday with a different attitude and a different mentality. Results aren’t going our way. We aren’t putting the ball in the back of the net, but we’re really going to try and change that this Friday and onwards Our sole motivation for the last six games is the fans and we’ve got to battle harder than ever to get a result for them.’

The Referee for this game is Oliver Langford from the West Midlands.
