Warne ‘Sadlier Has Confidence’

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne believes he has brought in one of last season’s ‘outstanding players in the league’ after announcing the signing of winger Kieran Sadlier today who played for neighbours Doncaster Rovers last season.

Speaking to the Official Site the Millers Boss said that he had always been on his ‘radar’ saying, ‘I watched Doncaster live more than any other club last year. He can play with both feet and as a ten as well as on either wing.

‘He had a bit of confidence which you need to have here and the confidence to play. Once we met him we did everything we could to get it over the line.’

Warney also said that the twenty-five year old has passed the clubs ‘personality test’ and that he wanted to come to the Millers which can only be a good thing. I’ll be honest, I know he’s played against us in the past but I can’t actually remember him but, it’s not me who has to do that is it. Seems he made an impression on the Gaffer and he is the one he needs to impress and work well for.

The player himself told IFollow that he was delighted to be a Miller and that he’s really looking forward to this season.

Saying that there was other clubs interest in him, Kieran said, ‘When I spoke to Warney and the staff I felt really welcome. I suit the way they want to play and playing in the Championship is something I aspire to do and I want to make an impact there with Rotherham.

‘I’m a very forward thinking player and I like to get shots off, get in the box and score goals and assist.’

All sounds very good doesn’t it!

Up The Millers.
