Vital Rotherham’s Player Of The Season

Vital Rotherham United’s Player Of The Season is Matt Crooks.

Matt joined the Millers in January 2019 from Northampton Town making his debut at the New York Season a week later. His first goal gained Rotherham a well deserved point away at Stoke City his first home goal coming on Easter Monday against Birmingham City.

This season Matt has made thirty-nine appearances for Rotherham scoring eleven goals, his first in the EFL win over Shrewsbury Town and his last in our home draw with AFC Wimbledon. Matt was nominated for the November Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month for his first of two goals in our three-nil away at Gillingham.

The twenty-six year old was twice voted our Man of the Match in October against Coventry City and Ipswich Town, in November against Gillingham, at home to Fleetwood in December, against Hull City in the FA Cup in January and twice in February in games with Lincoln City and AFC Wimbledon but has constantly got votes in most games, November (alongside Freddie Ladapo) and February seeing him the Man of the Month.
