Vital Rotherham’s Man Of The Month For October 2023

Vital Rotherham United’s Player of the Month for October is Goalkeeper Viktor Johansson.

The Millers had just four games last month with The Viking getting the vote for our one-all draw away at Southampton – and he certainly earned his keep that day!

Our first game in October was at the New York Stadium when Bristol City were the visitors. The game was a two-one loss with the vote that game going to Tyler Blackett who scored his first goal in a Rotherham which looked like getting a point for the hosts until a goal late into time added on saw City get the win.

After the game at St Mary’s Stadium the Millers had a mid-week game at home against Coventry City. Defender Lee Peltier got the accolade in the two-nil win after scoring the first goal on the fifty-first minute.

Our last game of the month was a Sunday lunch time kick-off away at Hillsborough. It didn’t go well and was perhaps the worst game of the season. Georgie Kelly, who was only on the pitch for the final twenty minutes, got voted Millers Man of the Match.

Because there was a different voted player for each of the four games it went to the vote count and Viktor got the most votes over the month.

Rotherham ended the month in twenty-second position which was one place above where they started October.  Well Done Viktor!
