Rotherham United have their second home game in a row when Watford are the visitors with Andrew Kitchen from Durham in the middle.

This is the second time this season that Andrew has had the whistle for a Millers game the first being on Boxing Day when Middlesbrough were in town. Despite dominating the game the visitors couldn’t find the net, the only goal of the game coming from a ‘fantastic’ cross from Cohen Bramall twenty minutes from time – although even he didn’t think he meant it! There were no cards shown in the game.

Andrew has been in charge of two other Millers game, Boxing Day 2021 at the Wham Stadium being the last when a seventy-fifth minute Sean McConville goal gave Accrington a one-nil win.

The first was a few months earlier in October in the Papa John’s Trophy game at the New York Stadium when Scunthorpe were in town. Will Grigg and Freddie Ladapo gave the hosts a two-nil lead going into half-time with the Iron halving the score on sixty-five minutes before goals from Hakeem Odofin and Michael Smith gave the Millers a four-one win.

Of the twenty-four games he has been in the middle for this season Andrew has shown sixty-nine yellow cards and one red
