Rotherham United’s travel to Peterborough on Saturday when Scott Oldham from Lancashire has the whistle.

After refereeing in the National League Scott became a League Referee in the 2017/18 season where he was in charge of the Millers three times.

The first time was at the New York Stadium in our five-one win over Walsall when Lee Frecklington got a hat-trick with Jon Taylor scoring the other two in September 2017 with the second time being two months later for our FA Cup game at Gresty Road. Despite Will Vaulks putting Rotherham in front on twenty-one minutes, second half goals from Brad Walker and Callum Ainley saw League Two Crewe through to the next round where they took Blackburn Rovers to a replay before bowing out of the competition.  Sean Cummings, Ryan Williams and Kieffer Moore saw yellow for the Millers that day.

The third time Scott was in the middle for a Millers game was a Friday afternoon game in March when Caolan Lavery gave hosts Rotherham the lead on sixty-eight minutes only for visitors Peterborough to get a late goal to give them a point to take home with Jack Marriott scoring eight minutes into time added on at the end of the game.

Rotherham United and Scott met earlier this season when Oxford were at the New York Stadium in October. Tarique Fosu-Henry opened the scoring for the visitors with Michael Ihiekwe getting an equaliser twelve minutes later. Matty Taylor scored the winner for Oxford in the second half and he was the only player to get a yellow card that afternoon.

Of the twenty-five games Scott has been in charge of this season he has shown seventy-five yellow cards and four red cards.

Running the line on Saturday we have Joe Clark and Oliver Jackson with Nicholas Cooper acting as Fourth Official.
