Rotherham United travel to the Alexandra Stadium on Saturday where they take on Crewe Alexandra in their next League One clash.

Third placed Rotherham come into this game on the back of a penalty shoot-out win in the Papa John’s Trophy while Crewe, who find themselves in the bottom three, lost their last game away at Cambridge.

Crewe’s last home game was a goalless draw with Shrewsbury Town while the Millers last away game was a one-nil loss, in time added on, at Fleetwood Town.

David Artell Manager of Crewe doesn’t expect Rotherham’s style of play to have changed much since the last time they were at the Alexandra Stadium in the EFL Trophy game in early January. Speaking to their Official Site the former Miller said, ‘They (Rotherham) made nine changes for the Papa John’s Trophy game but we expect it to be a different line-up but with a similar style. It will be a tough game but we have to try and expose their weaker points. It’s another important game for us.’

Rotherham United’s Assistant Manager Richie Barker told the Official Site that Saturday will see two teams who know each other very well saying, ‘It seems like we’ve played Crewe or Cambridge every two weeks in the last couple of months and we know Dave (Artell) very well. They’ve ICrewe) had a few good results recently and it will be a tough game.’

The Millers have no new injury worries although both Joe Mattock and Michael Ihiekwe were suffering soreness after Tuesday nights win in the Papa John’s Trophy but both should be in the travelling squad.

The referee for this game is Merseyside’s Benjamin Speedie.
