Rotherham United’s next four games are at the New York Stadium, the first being this evening against Queens Park Rangers.

The Millers come into this game the best of a bottom three teams but with just one point in three for April and their last home game being an embarrassing three-nil win to bottom places Wycombe Wanderers. Saturday saw them hit posts, bars, miss chances while keeping a clear sheet to get a point at Huddersfield.

Rangers had a good home win on Saturday, getting four of five goals against Sheffield Wednesday and are sitting pretty just above mid-table. They last won away from home in the first week of March at Bristol City with their last away game being a three-one loss to Nottingham Forest.

Speaking to the Official Site Millers Manager Paul Warne said that he is trying to keep the pressure of the busy week away from the players saying, ‘I hope to pick up at least two wins from the next four games.’ He went on to talk about tonight’s opponents saying, ‘QPR are a talented team and a motivated group. I think, considering the players he’s lost, the manager has done an amazing job. They are playing with a freedom and a belief about them and are a formidable side to play against.’

There could be a few changes tonight, probably more to freshen the team up than for any other reason although there is one new injury with the Gaffer declining to say who but it is hopeful that player will be fit and ready for Thursday nights battle. Matt Olosunde went off on Saturday with a calf problem so he will be monitored though if he doesn’t make it then Ryan Giles would be the obvious replacement.

Queens Park Rangers Manager Mark Warburton has already told his players that he wants them to better last season’s points of fifty-eight telling their Official Site that the players are representing QPR and have a responsibility every time they pull on the jersey. Speaking about tonight’s game he said, ‘The mood is good. Like Saturday we face another opponent who are fighting for survival who have to play on Thursday and Sunday too. I’ve no idea what team we will face but we are preparing for their strongest.’

Warburton will be without Charlie Austin who is in the middle of a three match ban and Geoff Cameron is still a doubt after missing the last two games.

The referee for this game is Dean Whitestone from Northamptonshire.
