Quick Preview – Millers Away At Morecambe

|

Rotherham United’s second away trip of the week sees them travel to the Mazuma Stadium where they take on newly promoted Morecambe.

The Millers come into this one after winning their opening home game but losing on Saturday to a goal in the last minute of time added on at Wigan.

Morecambe meanwhile got a point away against much fancied for promotion Ipswich Town and three points against Shrewsbury at home at the weekend and are in the top five in the table.

The Shrimps will have striker Jon Obika missing after having an operation on a hamstring injury last month

Morecambe’s Manager Stephen Robinson is expecting a difficult game against Rotherham telling their Official Site that ‘they (Rotherham) are a very good side. They have a real strong athletic side and we will have to start well and match their physicality.

The Millers have a couple of ‘minor issues’ regarding injuries according to the Millers Manager but nothing too dramatic although Freddie Ladapo might not make it after coming off the subs bench on Saturday.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield Millers Boss Paul Warne said, ‘They (Morecambe) had a really hard start and have done amazingly well. They’ve got some really good experience in the team and I think they’ve been the surprise package of the league and we won’t be underrating them.’

Tuesday night’s referee is David Webb from Lancashire.
