Rotherham United travel to the Mazuma Stadium to take on Morecambe who came up from League Two at the end of last season via the Play-Offs.

The Millers were last on Morecambe soil in 2013, the stadium then called the Globe Arena, which saw the hosts win two-one. Robbie Threwell scored for the Shrimps on fifty-six minutes with the Millers equalising eight minutes later through Alex Revell. The Millers went down to ten when John Mullin saw red on seventy-one minutes and were hanging on until injury time when former Rotherham player Kevin Ellison got Morecambe the win.

The season before this saw six goals between the pair at the Globe Arena. Gary MacDonald scored on three minutes for Morecambe with two first half penalties from Laurence Wilson giving them a three-nil lead. Rotherham got a penalty themselves with Lewis Grabban slotting home and second-half goals from Gareth Evans and Alex Revell saw the Millers go home with a point.

Rotherham have only won once in the League on Morecambe soil which was at Christie Park in August 2008. Mark Lynch and Ryan Taylor gave the visitors a two-nil lead going in at half-time while Neil Wainwright halved the deficit on seventy-seven minutes. But up popped Lynch in the last minute of the game to give the Millers a three-one win.
