Rotherham United are back in Cup action this evening when Morecambe are the visitors to the New York Stadium.

The Millers come into this game unbeaten in cup and league and sit comfortably in mid-table in the Championship. Morecambe aren’t fairing so well and are in the bottom three in League One but like Rotherham got a point away from home at the weekend against Oxford. Rotherham’s last home game was a four-nil win over Reading.

‘We are going to pick a team that gives us the best chance of winning,’ Rotherham Boss Paul Warne told the Official Site, ‘but we are aware we have a game at the weekend. We do want to get through and will give it everything to get to the next round.’

Paul Warne has no new injury worries ahead of this game and has said he will make changes to give players minutes and it’s thought that Tom Eaves, who is just coming back from injury, and new boy Brooke Norton-Cuffy will play some part in this game.

Morecambe Manager Derek Adams has seen his team already beat a Championship side, Stoke City, in the first round and will be hoping to continue that tonight and he told their Official Site, ‘ It’s about getting through to the next round and creating a bit of history. If we do that then it gives us the chance of playing against some of the top sides in England. Rotherham are a good side but we will go there with the team spirit and the attitude we had on Saturday.’

Courtney Duffus is still out injured and after coming off early in the game on Saturday Ashley Hunter is expected to be missing.

Peter Wright from Merseyside has the whistle this evening.
