Rotherham United are on the look out for a defender – or defenders – with two of the one’s already on the books not able to start the season due to injuries.
A trialist for the game yesterday played the second-half in our pre-season friendly win over Parkgate and it seems it could well have been twenty-one year old Reece Hutchinson.
Left-back Reece has been a one-club man making fifty-six appearances for Burton Albion, although just two last season, and was one of twelve players released by the Brewers at the end of the last campaign.
Could he have impressed enough for the Millers to sign him in forty-five minutes yesterday? Might he get some more pre-season friendly game time before a decision is made? We will have to wait and see.
