Rotherham United winger Mickel Miller has announced his intention of leaving the club when his contract ends in July.

The twenty-six year old arrived at the New York Stadium in the summer of 2020 from Hamilton Academical, making his debut in the September away at Birmingham. He went on to play in another nine games before going out on loan to Northampton Town in January 2021 where he finished the season.

This last season Mickel has made thirty appearances, including our Wembley Papa John’s Trophy win, scoring four goals in all competitions.

Mickel put out a post on Instagram thanking the staff and fans for making him welcome.

Personally this is a bit of a shock to me, as a fan I’ve seen how he has become a favourite in the stands and was hoping he would be offered and accept a new contract.

We wish you well in your future, Mickel.
