Rotherham United have now finalised the move of Jamie McCart from St Johnstone with him signing a three year deal with the Millers.

Born in North Lanarkshire the now twenty-five year old defender came through the Youth ranks with Celtic making his first team debut in August 2016 in the Scottish League Cup at home to Motherwell, when he came off the bench for the final twenty minutes.

That same season Jamie went on to play eleven games in the Scottish Premiership in a loan spell with Inverness Caledonian Thistle and spent the following season on loan with St Mirren and Alloa who he helped to promotion via the Scottish Division One play-offs.

In 2018 he was back at the Caledonian Stadium signing a two year deal with the club and going on to play in sixty-two games in all competitions and scoring twice. January 2020 saw Jamie move to Scottish Premier side St Johnstone who he played more than one hundred games for including the 2021 Scottish Cup Final which the Saints won.

Jamie has caps for Scotland at U19 and U21 level.

All at Vital Rotherham welcome Jamie to the New York Stadium.
