Rotherham United lost two on-loan players in the January window with both being recalled by their clubs.

But how are they getting on?

Wolverhampton Wanderers took defender Dexter Lembikisa back to Molineux although he was only there a couple of days before he was sent out on loan again this time to Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian. He made twenty-seven appearances for the Millers, his only goal being the first in our two-one home win against Norwich City. His last game in a Rotherham shirt was away against Premier League outfit Fulham in the FA Cup and fifteen days later he made his debut, off the bench, for Hearts in the Scottish FA Cup. So far he’s played in another nine games for the Jambos scoring once which was in a three-two Premiership game win against Dundee at the Tynecastle Stadium.

Fred Onyedinma was the other loanee who left in January. His parent club, Luton Town and the Millers mutually agreed for him to return to Kenilworth Road. The twenty-seven year old attacking midfielder played eighteen times for Rotherham, scoring twice. His first goal put the Millers two-up at home to Blackburn Rovers but two minutes later he was shown a second yellow card and took an early bath. His first game back after suspension saw him score an equaliser, again at the New York Stadium, against Leicester City. He was last seen in a Millers shirt at the end of November when he limped out of the warm-up at the MKM Stadium. There was talk of him returning to his former club Wycombe Wanderers but we have to assume that his injury prevented him from doing that in the January window and he hasn’t played since.
