Amid the coronavirus problems we are all facing at the moment Rotherham United have had some good news today in that Hodge Clemco have extended their sponsorship deal with the Millers for next season (whenever that will be).

The company have been involved with the Millers since 2015 while sponsoring the home shirts for three years before last season seeing them move to the reverse of the home and away shorts for this season.

Speaking to the Official Site Hodge Clemco’s  Group Managing Director  said, ‘In these difficult times it is even more important to support the local community and businesses and we all look forward to watching football in the not too distant future. After five years of supporting the club, in a corporate and sponsorship capacity, it was an easy decision to extend our commitment for another season, and I am certain beyond.’

Meanwhile thirty-seven of the forty-seven League One and Two clubs have sent a letter asking for a salary cap to be introduced next season. Mansfield Town Chairman John Radford sent the letter on the behalf of the majority of the clubs saying that clubs are committed to wage caps for the 2020/1 season and want the EFL to ‘urgently’ to look at this proposal and is expecting ‘further discussions’ over this issue.

Keep Safe.

Up The Millers.
