Warne ‘Most Difficult Decision Of Career’

|

Rotherham United’s ex Manager Paul Warne says that leaving the Millers has been the ‘most difficult decision of his career’.

After the official announcement that he has gone down a league to manage Derby County, Warne sent an open letter to all Millers supporters on the Official Site saying he wanted to put ‘something together to express his sincere thanks to everyone associated with Rotherham United for the support over the last six or so years.

He first thanked Chairman Tony Stewart who he says ‘took an incredibly brave decision’ to make him Manager of the club with the forty-nine year old saying, ‘ I am hugely grateful. I would like to think that he feels myself and my staff repaid him with our work ethic every single day and in the good times that we have been able to give the club along the way. ‘

Then he thanked the ‘amazing Millers fans‘ with him carrying on, ‘ I feel like I know so many of you personally and my phone has already been blowing up with many of you wishing me well – which means the world to me. ‘

Warne then thanked ‘every single one’ of the players who have worn the badge while he’s been in charge.

He finished with thanks to all the staff ending with ‘Once A Miller, Always A Miller’.
