I think the month of September made us realise here on Vital Rotherham just how much the team are playing together with each of the seven games played having a different Man of the Match!

The month started with an away trip to Portsmouth, a game which saw the Millers win their first away game since April 2016. So it was only fitting that goalscorer Jon Taylor was voted Man of the Match for that game.

Our next game was at home when Bury were the visitors to the New York Stadium, a game which saw five goals. Luckily for us fans the hosts scored three of those goals, two of them going to Kieffer Moore who was voted our Man of the Match.

Six goals on a Tuesday night at the New York Stadium saw the Millers score five of them against Walsall. Skipper Lee Frecklington had a stunning game getting his first professional hat-trick and was rightly named our Man of the Match.

Our next game was a Yorkshire derby with the Millers travelling to Bradford where City won the game one-nil. Michael Ihiekwe got the vote for this game.

Another home game and another six goals and another five for Rotherham. Although he didn’t score Vital followers voted midfielder Darren Potter as Man of the Match.

In our disappointing two-nil loss away at Blackburn the vote went to goalkeeper Marek Rodak who kept the score down to a reasonable amount!

The last game of the month saw the Millers back at the New York Stadium but this time just one goal was enough to beat Northampton Town. The vote that afternoon went to winger Ryan Williams.

So when it’s a tie like this we go and look who got most voted for the month – and scoring four goals this month (two against Bury and two against Oldham Athletic) the player with the most votes is KIEFFER MOORE.

Well done Kieffer – but also well done to all the players mentioned.
