Dear Mr Stewart

We, as fans, know that you want what is best for Rotherham United.

We know that you have already done so much for the club but, like us, you hope to take it further – for most of the fans that means eventually getting back into The Championship, where a stadium like ours belongs. Maybe you even want to take it further.

We also know that you want Paul Warne to have the players he needs to do that at his disposal. We know because you have told us that there is money available for that.

And we have heard Warney say that he will only bring in the ‘right players’ for Rotherham United.

Well, Mr Stewart, I think we’ve found that ‘right player’ in striker Kieffer Moore and he is someone we really want/need to stay at the New York Stadium.

We really wanted to keep Nouha Dicko but were beaten to his signature by a better deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

We would have loved to have kept Izzy Brown in a Rotherham United shirt but again a better deal was made this time by Huddersfield Town.

Now we really, really want to keep Kieffer Moore.

Kieffer is getting a lot of attention in the media, among our fellow football clubs and even the Football League have heard of him!

Fans are the backbone of every football club, most of who will always be there, come rain, shine or when the you-know-what hits the fan. The transfer window opens again at one minute past midnight on Monday, 1st January. So, as fans, we are begging you, Mr Stewart, that by two minutes past midnight on Monday 1st January we have lodged a bid – and by that we mean a sensible bid, not tuppence halfpenny and a packet of Wrigleys. A bid that will secure that young man to the Millers for the foreseeable future and before someone else has chance to nip in and take him away from us.

Please, Mr Stewart, let’s get this right this time. Let’s start the New Year off with a striker who has scored goals already for our club, who, by his own admission, has settled in and is still willing to learn his trade.

Thank you for listening.
