Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield that he thought his team had been competitive over the Easter programme.

‘I thought we played well in the second half against Birmingham and deserved to come away with at least a point,’ said Warney. ‘And I thought we played really well against Reading who are third in the table for sixty-five minutes. Generally over the two games I think our lads have competed well. I think the lads felt better after the Birmingham game and were more confident in their approach to the game at Reading.

‘Our performances have been good and I’m proud of them but people will be bored with hearing me saying the same thing. The performances have been good in part although not the complete thing but the results speak for themselves so it’s still not good enough.

‘If we were to win against Ipswich on Saturday it would give the place a massive lift and could go into the last two games with a bit of confidence and hopefully finish the season how we want to start next year.’
