Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne told Radio Sheffield that he is very pleased with midfielder Darren Potter

The thirty-two year old joined the Millers in the summer after leaving MK Dons at the end of last season and has made nine appearances for Rotherham so far.

‘Pots has done well and I’ve been really pleased with him,’ Warney said,

‘I think he plays better in a three rather than a two which allows the other two to go forward. He controls the ball a little bit and is competent on the ball.

‘But I really like the fact that he’s got that ugly part to his game, where he’s not afraid to put his foot in and break up play.

‘He plays a massive part for us in the middle of the pitch. Without him in there we couldn’t play as open as we do.’

Darren got Vital Rotherham’s Man of the Match against Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
