RUFC – View From The Opposition – Gillingham

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne said although his side made it more difficult for themselves than it should have been this evening he thought they performed really well.

Gills Manager Steve Lovell wasn’t so complementary about his team telling their Official Site that he thought his side were too direct.

‘We started brightly,’ the Gillingham Boss said, ‘but there wasn’t enough options with the ball and it was a disappointing performance. They have one shot, it’s gone in, and that’s what has won them the game.

‘The lads all worked hard, gave everything but you need that quality at the end. Tonight was frustrating. But we will carry on. We have three games to go and we need to get back to some sort of normality.

‘We love the club and so do the supporters and they have a right to say what they want to say. ‘

One shot at goal? Really, he only saw us have one shot at goal? I’m now shaking my head at that statement.
