Rotherham United’s Assistant Manager Richie Barker told iFOLLOW FREEVIEW that winger Richie Towell can be a ‘bit of a nightmare’ when he’s not involved in a game.

The Brighton loanee was left out of the Easter Monday game away at Charlton game as a precaution but played the full ninety minutes last Saturday in the Fleetwood win.

‘The worst thing for a professional footballer is getting an injury,’ the Millers No. Two said, ‘but being told that you aren’t being picked is slightly different.

‘To be fair to Richie Towell when he’s not involved he’s the first one in the dressing room after the game

‘And special praise to him because he’s a loan player so you could argue it doesn’t mean as much to him as other players but it obviously does and his mentality of him wanting the team to do well is excellent.’
