Rotherham United made their last game of 2008 a happy one for both the manager and the fans alike as they came back from Notts County today with all three points.

Mark Robins told the Official Site, ‘We beat a very good side today and scored three excellent goals in the bargain. Notts County is a difficult place to get a result and they threw plenty at us but we stood up and defended very well and took our opportunities.’

Speaking about one of the goalscorers, Reuben Reid, his manager said, ‘Reuben has come in and done the job we asked and I was really pleased with him. In fact, everyone put in a good performance and ran their socks off for the cause. We are down to the bare bones in terms of players but we showed what a good spirit we have in the dressing room. This win today will give us confidence.’

The Official away attendance today was 1,077 and Robins said, ‘The fans were tremendous! Considering they had to pay double what the home supporters had to pay and still turned up in numbers is testament to the fantastic support we have at this club.’
