Rotherham United midfielder, Micky Cummins says it has been a great Christmas for the Millers after they came away with their third win of the festive season yesterday.

Speaking to RotherFM, the thirty-year old said, ‘It’s been nice the last few games coming away with maximum points. We swapped things round a bit and managed to get ourselves out of the rut we were in. And we’ve got confidence in our defence at the moment.

Reuben (Reid) has been out of the team and he got back in yesterday and proved a point by scoring and Drewe (Broughton) has got three goals in three now and I popped up for the third which is nice. I’m there to pick up the pieces and I had a pop and it went into the top corner. But we were at Notts County straight from the kick-off of the second half and we got our reward. It was good that one of the goals came from an Andy Nicholas long throw. Nicco hasn’t been in the team recently and it goes to show that he’s an asset away from home.

‘We’ve got Monday off and I’m pleased because I’ve personally not been very well for a couple of days now. Then we’re back in Tuesday to get ready for a tough game on Saturday.

‘It’s been a big boost to climb the table and to put space between us and the bottom clubs. We’ve had a blip but now we’ll be building on our success of late.’
