Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, said that he thought his side deserved a point after Ian Sharps got an equaliser in the dying seconds of the game against Dagenham and Redbridge today.

He admitted to the Official Site that the team hadn’t played that well but that they showed plenty of effort during the game. ‘We had the better chances,’ Robins said, ‘and we deserved the equalising goal.

‘Dagenham are a hard side to beat and we have taken a point from them today. They work very hard for one another and there are one or two very good players in the side. Both sides will feel that they have been in a tough game today.’

Speaking about an incident in the game where it appeared that goalkeeper, David Stockdale brought down Matt Richie in the area, Robins said, ‘we had a similar incident in the Shrewsbury game recently but on that occasion David Stockdale was sent off. Danny Harrison dropped us in it, although initially he did well to back track forty yards to retrieve the ball. Mistakes like that can cost you goals and games and we need to defend better.’
