Rotherham United Manager, Mark Robins, has today denied making a bid for Liam Hatch of Peterborough.

According to the Posh Official Site on Friday, two teams had put in a six figure offer for the striker, Rotherham United being named as one of them.

Speaking to The Star, Robins said, ‘No offer by me, or to my knowledge by Rotherham United, has been lodged with any club. I have made an enquiry about a certain player from a certain club but I regard these as private conversations.

‘Of course we are interested in players and I’m not going to say I haven’t spoken to certain clubs about particular players becoming available. And, I will continue making enquiries about whether players are available because if I don’t do that then I’m not doing my job. If someone becomes available who I think will improve us then I will be interested. But I do not do business in public.’
