Former Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans has this evening resigned as Manager of League Two side Mansfield Town.

Evans joined the Millers in April 2012 and took Rotherham to successive promotions from League Two to the Championship, via the play-off final at Wembley.

After avoiding relegation from the Championship Evans and the club parted company in September 2015 joining Leeds United the following month.

November 2016 saw Evans appointed as Manager of the Stags.

Now, not wanting to put two and two together and made five, it might be an idea to remind everyone that Peterborough, a club close to Steve Evans’ heart, sacked their Manager Grant McCann yesterday – so could he be off there?

Evans number two, Paul Raynor, has also left Mansfield Town.

    Confirmed today, I believe.

I don’t think its the first time he has tried to get there.

Rest assured, Caz , you can still add 2 + 2!
