Rotherham United skipper Lee Frecklington has been the subject of some muted transfer speculation over the last few days with both Lincoln City and Mansfield Town being said, on social media, to be keeping an eye on the midfielder.

But today, former Millers Boss Steve Evans has admitted to wanting the thirty-two year old but told Lincolnshirelive that he pulled out of the deal.

‘We’d agreed a fee with Rotherham to buy Lee Frecklington,’ Evans said, ‘but this morning we had a feeling it wasn’t quite right.

‘When I explained my thoughts to the Chairman and CEO, we unanimously agreed.’

Seems to me that if a deal had been agreed then all Lincoln have to do to get Frecks back is to offer the same deal.
