RIP Norman

|

It is with a sad heart that we hear the passing of former Rotherham United Manager Norman Hunter today after he was diagnosed with the coronavirus last week that is sweeping the world.

Best known for his association with Leeds United, Norman became the Millers Manager in the summer of 1985, managing at Millmoor for two seasons which saw Rotherham finish twice in fourteen place in Division Three.

In his playing career Norman played more than five hundred and forty times at Leeds going on to play over one hundred games for Bristol City before moving to South Yorkshire and Oakwell where he spent three seasons and also began his managerial career. Norman also had caps for England at both U23 and senior level.

Our thoughts are with Norman’s family and friends at this sad time.

RIP Norman Hunter.
