Born in Goole the left sided player’s first club was Liverpool joining Rotherham for the 1969/9 season where he made a handful of appearances although just two of them being starts.

From Millmoor Bobby went on to play for Mansfield, Workington, Hartlepool, Workington and Wigan Athletic where he played around seventy times. He then went on to play for Altrincham before moving to his last club Scarborough who he helped to the FA Trophy Final where the Seadogs beat Stafford Rangers three-two.

All at Vital Rotherham send our condolences to Bobby’s family and friends at this sad time.
