It might be looking a lot like Christmas everywhere you look but regarding the football game tomorrow it’s looking like it will Managerless v Managerless when Rotherham United welcome Swansea City to the New York Stadium.

The Millers come into this game after playing out a goalless draw last weekend at St Andrew’s Stadium against Birmingham City while the Swans also got a point in a home draw with Huddersfield Town.

City’s last away game saw them lose three-one at Elland Road despite going in front in the opening minute with Rotherham also playing Leeds United in their last home game which they came back from one down to draw one-all.

Wayne Carlisle who is in temporary charge of the Millers said that that this week he had been working on a day-to-day basis and, reading between the lines, it doesn’t sound like he thought he would be in charge for this game. Speaking about the game, Wayne told Radio Sheffield that despite them also having a caretaker Manager they have a real identity saying, ‘I think we know what kind of performance to expect from Swansea and we’ve planned accordingly.’

Rotherham’s injury list hasn’t lessened any with Tyler Blackett, Cafu, Sam Clucas, Shane Ferguson, Andre Green and Cameron Humphreys all still side-lined. And there has to be a major doubt over Fred Onyedinma who pulled out of the game last Saturday with a hamstring problem.

Swansea’s caretaker Manager Alan Sheehan told their Official Site that it was a ‘privilege’ to be in charge of the club and understands the responsibility that comes with it saying, ‘We’ve been working on how we can hurt the opposition. It’s about how we can get the best from the players we have in the building. We want to put out a good Swansea team that the fans can be proud of on Saturday.’

City have Joe Allen, Harrison Ashby, Josh Ginnelly, Mykola Kukharevych, Nathanael Ogbeta and Nathan Wood missing for this game but having dropped down to the bench for the game last weekend former Miller Jerry Yates will be hoping to be back in the starting line-up.

The referee for this game is Peterborough’s Josh Smith.
