Rotherham United welcome Coventry City to the New York Stadium for their midweek match which is twenty-third place in the Championship taking on sixteenth.

The Millers last game was postponed due to Storm Barbet on Friday night while City lost one-nil away at Ashton Gate against Bristol City at the weekend who were the last winners at the New York Stadium earlier this month.

Speaking to the Official Site Millers Manager Matt Taylor said that he thought Coventry were unlucky not to get something out of the game at the weekend saying, ‘They’ll be looking to put that right this week, but we know when we’re at home that we’re capable of competing with anyone. They have invested in some good quality and are defensively strong and while being hard to score past.’

Andre Green is the latest Rotherham player to fall foul of injury and will have an operation on a ruptured Achilles which means his season is over. Grant Hall is a major doubt while the news isn’t good for Tyler Blackett (hamstring) who will have to surgery when it was hoped he wouldn’t and Shane Ferguson has had more surgery on a troublesome hernia. Cameron Humphreys is also out.

Former Milller Mark Robins will be giving a late fitness test to midfielder Jamie Allen who missed the weekend game with a calf problem while Kasey Palmer (groin injury), Liam Kelly (hamstring), Callum O’Hare (ACL tear) and striker Fabio Tavares (Achilles) will miss the game.

The referee for this game is Lewis Smith from Wigan.
