Rotherham United’s next Championship game sees them entertain Luton Town at the New York Stadium tomorrow.

Hosts Rotherham come into this game in eighteenth place in the table with promotion hopefuls Luton in third place, twenty-six points better off than the Millers.

The Millers have gained five points so far in April, the game on Easter Monday being a goalless draw away at Norwich City. Their last home game was a three-one win against West Bromwich Albion while the Hatters come into this game after a three-one home win over Blackpool their last away game being nil-nil against Millwall.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield ahead of the game Millers Manager Matt Taylor admitted that it hadn’t been easy with all the injuries the club have suffered saying, ‘we’ve never really had that consistency of a stable team but it’s the nature of the beast and, ultimately, whatever happens there will be a big turnover of players at the end of the season.

‘Luton are a solid group and are the form men of the league whose run in form is incredible. They are good on set pieces, well organised and clearly well coached. We played pretty well when we went to their place but they are third in the league and we play the top team on Tuesday so it doesn’t come any tougher but these are the games we want to play in. We know we are going to have to be at our best in the next six games let alone on Saturday. But we are feeling good about ourselves and will be looking to do the same as we did in our last home performance.’

Although Ollie Rathbone has played in the last two games he still has issues but he could play some part in the game. After coming off with ‘tightness in a hamstring’ Tyler Blackett should be OK but the season is over for both Conor Washington, who has had an operation, and Bailey Wright. Shane Ferguson and Cameron Humphreys have both had injections with the only good news is Ben Wiles who has been training with the team but won’t make it for Saturday. Viktor Johansson is still out with a shoulder injury but the Millers have an able substitute in Josh Vickers.

Town Manager Rob Edwards told their Official Site that they are focused on winning their next game. ‘We are aware of where we are, and where everyone else is, even if other people don’t have us in third. It’s great being in the position we are in but now it’s important to maintain the good form.’ he said.

Talking about Saturday’s game, he carried on, ‘Rotherham have done great this year and are coming off the back of a couple of great results and performances. Where we are in the league and where they are it’s pointing towards a real banana skin. The away point they got at Norwich shows how difficult this test is going to be for us because they are fighting. It’s going to be a difficult game and we’ve got to be right at it to get anything from it.’

Gabe Osho is out for the Hatters with a knee injury with Jordan Clark and Dan Potts also missing.

The referee for this game is Lancashire’s Darren Bond.
