Quick Preview – Millers v Bees

|

Rotherham United’s next Championship game sees them travel to West London where they take on Brentford at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Brentford are currently sitting in third place in the table while the Millers are third from bottom with thirty-nine points between them.

Rotherham’s last away game was at Barnsley on Saturday when a controversial second minute goal gave the hosts all three points while the Bees beat Bournemouth at Dean Court, their last home game seeing them get a point against Cardiff City.

The Millers are without first choice goalkeeper Viktor Johansson after an eye injury at Oakwell on Saturday saw him leave the pitch after just a few minutes. Also missing is Matt Crooks who is serving the second of a three match ban. It would also appear that Joe Mattock has had a set-back in his injury come-back and won’t be available either.

Speaking to the Official Site Millers Manager Paul Warne said that anything they get at Brentford would be a bonus, saying, ‘Are they (Brentford) going to play all of their best players against us? I don’t honestly know. If they play all of their second string it is still going to be one hell of a game. We’re just going to have to attack it with a smile on our face and stay in the game for as long as we can and try and cause them problems.’

Brentford will be without Henrik Dalsgaard and Rico Henry while a hip injury will also keep Josh Dasilva out of this game.

Already assured of a play-off spot Bees Manager Thomas Frank could chose to rest some of his key players telling West London Sport that he will do everything to see his team finish first but carried on saying, ‘of course it’s natural that if there’s a player that could be rested then maybe it’s the game and maybe it’s not. I will be going with a strong team. We want to win.’

Michael Salisbury from Lancashire is tonight’s referee.
