Rotherham United start the Easter weekend at home on Good Friday when West Bromwich Albion are the visitors to the New York Stadium.

Moving up to nineteenth due to Reading having six points taken off them for a ‘business plan breach’ the Millers kept a clean sheet and got a point in last weekends away game against Hull City. Their last home game was abandoned after a deluge of rain made the pitch unplayable with the home game before that seeing Preston North End take all three points with a two-one win.

West Brom are sitting pretty in ninth place and are fifteen points better off than Rotherham. Like the Millers their game last weekend was a goalless draw which was at home against Millwall with their last away game also seeing them get a point in a one-all draw at Cardiff.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield ahead of the game Rotherham Manager Matt Taylor said, ‘West Brom are a fantastic team whose squad is up there with the top sides in this league. We know how strong they are but we’ve produced some big performances on our home turf and, to get anything from this game, we will have to do that again. In terms of our performance we will have to give our fans something to believe in.’

There will be a late decision made on Tyler Blackett who has a slight hamstring problem and the same can be said for Ollie Rathbone who will be ‘eased’ back into the game. Grant Hall won’t play again this season but there is hope that Ben Wiles will although this game is much too early for him. Peter Kioso will be assessed before the game but is very doubtful with an ankle injury and a hip problem has meant that Tom Eaves missed the start of the weeks training. Other injuries include a knee injury for Cameron Humphries, a groin problem for Shane Ferguson while Lee Peltier came off early on Saturday with a back injury. Definitely out is Domingos Quina who was sent-off last weekend.

Baggies Manager Carlos Corbean comes into this game amidst a host of injuries but Alex Palmer and Kyle Bartley could be in the travelling squad. Dara O’Shea, Jayson Molumby, Kean Bryan, Martin Kelly, Matt Phillips, Grady Diangana and Okay Yokusulu has also been ruled out with an ankle injury. The good news for West Brom is that Karlan Grant will be in the squad.

The referee for this game is Tim Robinson from West Sussex.

Polite Reminder – this game has a 1pm kick-off
