ROTHERHAM United are hoping to land former Coventry and Sheffield Wednesday winger Richie Partridge.

The winger, who was with the Owls last season, is understood to already have had talks with the Millers and the club are hopeful of concluding a deal very soon.
Millers manager Alan Knill as allways refuses to identify any of his targets so far saying that he would prefer deals to be tied up first but I understand that Partridge is one of the players who has been having talks with the Millers.

I gather that he has expressed interest in joining the Millers and that is a hopeful sign for Rotherham.

Last season he made only a handful of starts for the Owls.

Sheffield United midfielder Ian Ross is another player being linked with the Millers, Knill confirmed that he is to have talks with two other players, one he said he is sure will come and another he described as ‘lightning quick’.

On the down side it looks certain that
Paul Shaw is set to sign for Chesterfield by the end of the week.
