friday morning didn`t get off to a great start as one of the lads coming with us had knocked his alarm off so didn`t come to pick me up untill 5-25, 40 minutes late. anyway we gets through to brinsworth where we meet everyone else and set off down the m1 to dover. we arrive in dover about 11 am and check in,now we have an hours wait for the ferry to calaise so we have a kick about to pass the time. we board the ferry and proceed to cross to calais which takes about an hour 45 mins, during this time an amount of refreshment is taken(stella). we depart calaise for the long drive to liege in belgium where we are staying for the night. we arrive in liege about 5-30 and just catch the last few mins of the first half of the german game. we get our rooms sorted then settle down with a drink to watch the second half of the game. after the game has finished we all depart to our rooms to freshen up and then all go out to find something to eat and drink(beer). we find of all places a pizza hut so we all pile in there for our grub and to meet a funny chap called juan who was from i think costa rica who took a liking to deano. we leave pizza hut and go to a bowling alley that is just across from our hotel for more beer which by this time is going down very nicely. i can`t remember what time i came out but the next morning was a bit of a blur so it must have been late. we are all up the next mornin for 7 o`clock so it`s shower time then all meet outside at about 8 for the long haul to frankfurt. i think it was about 12ish when we arrive at the ground where those of us who had tickets whent into the ground and us who didn`t went in search of them. unfortunately this was a fruitless search as the prices we were hearing was around 800 pound, way out of my price range. so me baz and deano catch a train to the city centre to watch it on the big screens which are on barges in the middle of the river. after finally finding the big screens we are greeted by thousands of other england fans who seem to have had the same idea as us. after spending half an hour trying to find a good viewing point we give it up as a bad job and go back into the city centre to watch it in spanish tapas bar with a load of other fans including 2 other rotherham fans. after watching a dissapointing game and drinking lots of beer we say our goodbyes and set off back to the stadium to meet up with the others. we then spend the next hour trying to find each other because our taxi had dropped us off at the opposite side off the ground. any way i will not bore you with the rest just to say we make our way back to calaise and catch the ferry back to blighty and arrive home at 6-15 sunday morning. would i done it again you ask??? of course i would just because of the brilliant atmosphere and the experiance.
