Millers After Another Millar?

|

Rotherham United are being linked with Liverpool striker Liam Millar.

Born in Canada the twenty year old played from a young age for clubs in Canada but after moving to England he joined Fulham as a young teenager. The summer of 2016 saw Liam move to Liverpool and has scored goals for the U18’s, in the UEFA Youth League as well as playing for the U21 side.

In January last year Liam went out on loan to Kilmarnock playing fourteen times and re-joined them at the start of the following season scoring once in twenty-three appearances. He returned to Liverpool making his first senior appearance for the club in the FA Cup game at home to Shrewsbury playing most of the game. His only appearance this season came in the Football League Trophy game when he was in the U21 side that lost away at Wigan.

Liverpool, the Football Insider tells us are willing to let the young striker out on loan again with the Millers being one team being named, alongside Stoke, QPR, Millwall, Blackburn Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers, as being linked with Millar.

I’m just wondering although the young man is the sort of age Manager Paul Warne likes to fetch in, ‘do we need another striker’? I’d imagine the Boss would be more interested in fetching in a midfielder or a left-sided defender. Not only that if we brought this lad in we’d literally have ‘Millers’ coming out of our ears!
