Rotherham United left-back Joe Mattock has signed a new deal with the Millers. The contract, subject to EFL and FA ratification, will keep him at the New York Stadium until 2022.

Joe joined the Millers from neighbours Sheffield Wednesday in June 2015 and has made over one hundred and sixty appearances in a Rotherham shirt, including ten this season of which some he has been given the captains armband.

Joe began his career with his home club Leicester City helping them to regain their Championship status in the 2008/9 season. From the Foxes he joined West Bromwich Albion and while with the Baggies he had loan spells with Sheffield United, Portsmouth and Brighton and Hove Albion before moving to S6 in the summer of 2012.

The twenty-nine year old is the second longest serving Miller with only Richard Wood being here longer and he has found the net three times for Rotherham, his last goal coming in December last year in the final minute of our one-all home draw with Reading.
