Rotherham United make the trek down to Hertfordshire to take on Watford at Vicarage Road for this Tuesday night game.
It was a cold Tuesday night in February 2015 that the pair last met here which saw the hosts go in front on eighteen minutes after a slip from Kari Arnason let in Odion Ighaloto get his thirteenth goal of the season. Nine minutes into the second half Troy Deeney made it two-nil and Ighalo was handed his second and the Hornets third two minutes later after Adam Collin fumbled a shot from Miguel Layun which was a tap in for Watford striker. Watford ‘keeper Heurelho Gomes did have some work to do saving from Matt Derbyshire and Craig Morgan but it was Collin who was the busier of the two denying Almen Abdi, Deeney and Joel Ekstrand.
The time before this that the pair met in Watford was ten years previous which ended goalless.
Rotherham last won at Watford in 2003 in a League One game. It looked like it was going to be nil-nil until two minutes after the hour mark when Tommy Smith put the hosts one-up. But the Watford supporters joy was short lived when just seven minutes later Martin McIntosh equalised and another seven minutes on the clock saw Chris Swailes give the visitors all three points.
