Rotherham United’s mid-week Championship game sees them travel to Vicarage Road where they take on Watford under the watchful eye, and whistle, of Joshua Smith

Josh, who is one of the youngest officials in the country, took charge of his first Football League game in August 2019 making the step up after just one season in the National League.

Passing his basic referees course at the tender age of fourteen in 2007 he first started officiating in the Peterborough and District Youth League rising through the levels until reaching the Football Conference.

This is the first time Josh has been in charge of a Millers game while so far this season he has been in the middle for twelve games showing thirty-seven yellow cards and one red.

Running the line at Vicarage Road we have Jonathan Hunt and Adam Crysell with the Fourth Official being Gavin Ward from Surrey.
