Chieo Out Until Next Year

|

Rotherham United supporters will be devastated on hearing today’s news that Chieo Ogbene is unlikely to pull on a Millers shirt until next year and will surely now be expecting a replacement before the transfer window shuts later this month.

The twenty-three year old winger has had to have an operation on a knee injury he got in training last week and although the surgery has been a success he is looking at a lengthy lay off. His cartilage has been repaired which means he should have no further problems through his career but it is sad news for the fans.

Millers Manager Paul Warne warned on the Official Site that Chieo ‘won’t return for us for a minimum of four months and that is without any problems.’

Warney went on to say, ‘I’ve said in previously that we needed some back-up for Chieo and now he is not there, we might have to find a different way to play if we can’t find a suitable candidate to join us.’

We know that Chieo will be as disappointed as us that he is going to be side-line for so long and here at Vital Rotherham we all wish him ‘all the best’ for a speedy recovery.
