Warne Still Hoping To Get Striker In

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne is expecting the next player he fetches in to be a loan.

Making no secret that he is after a striker the Millers Boss told Radio Sheffield that he could be close to getting someone in saying, ‘but I’ve said that before. If this player is going to come in then I would have thought it would be by the middle of next week and, if not, we move on.

‘I’m hopeful it will happen but if Tom (Eaves) is back with us in ten days then we will cope with what we’ve got.

‘If something isn’t done by tonight – I know it’s Friday afternoon and agents are busy but they aren’t that busy – so it will probably be after the weekend.’

Warney didn’t rule out getting more bodies in before the window shuts on 1st September saying, ‘we are always trying to improve in every department. We are constantly on the look out and things are always changing. Realistically, if I lose a player, though that doesn’t look like happening in the next forty-eight hours, then we shall sharpen our pencil so to speak but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get another one or two in.’
