Warne ‘Score Line Didn’t Flatter Us’

|

Rotherham United Manager Paul Warne said tonight’s five-nil score line didn’t flatter his Millers team tonight as they came away with a five-nil win over Doncaster Rovers.

‘We started the game really well,’ he told IFollow after the win, ‘we got the ball wide and caused problems and I thought we played really well. But no two halves are the same and I thought they started the second half really well but, fortunately, we rode that and in fairness to Donny, if you play your best football we are hard to stop.

‘There wasn’t many bad performances tonight and I was really pleased. To keep a clean sheet and to score goals at the end where the Rotherham fans were is good news.

‘It’s a really pleasing day, a good day, a clean sheet and no injuries. And massive credit to the following support tonight who made it feel like a proper derby.’

A great win tonight, all good goals, Chieo’s a cracker, great penalty, wonderful corner from Mikel Miller, three points, kept a clean sheet – nothing else you can ask for away from home., although, being greedy, it probably could have been two or even three more.

Now onto Accrington at home on Saturday.
