Vital Rotherham’s Man Of The Month For February

Vital Rotherham’s Man of the Month for February is probably not much of a surprise with goalkeeper Josh Vickers getting the accolade.

Josh joined the Millers from Lincoln City in November 2020 on a deal originally until the end of the season but at the beginning of June last year signed a two year contract with the club. His first two games were this season in the Papa John’s Trophy and he’s gone on to play seventeen League One games so far this season plus FA Cup and Trophy games too.

Throughout February he made seven league appearances keeping six clean sheets and was voted Vital Rotherham’s Man of the Match in four of those games – at home to Accrington Stanley and Morecambe and away at Hillsborough and Plymouth..

Our first game of the month was away against Doncaster Rovers which saw Ollie Rathbone get the vote with Michael Ihiekwe voted Man of the Match away at Wimbledon while Wes Harding was given the dong in our one-all home draw against Wigan.
