Those Stats – Millers v Norwich

Rotherham United got a point in a goalless draw at Norwich yesterday, but what about those stats?

Norwich got sixty-eight per cent of possession and were also slightly better in the duels with the Millers getting forty-four per cent in the duel successes and won forty-two per cent of those in the air.

There were thirteen corners in the game of which Rotherham got three with our passing accuracy in our opponents half came out at sixty-one per cent with the hosts getting a couple of per cent more. Our crossing accuracy was thirty-nine per cent with Norwich getting twenty-three per cent.

I thought we defended brilliantly today – as a team. Our manager eluded in his after match interview that at times Chieo Ogbene was playing in a left-back position and Tariqe Fosu at right-back. It’s all about team work isn’t it and we had that today.

This time, even just a couple of weeks ago, I was closing my eyes, crossing my fingers when the opposition were going forwards. I didn’t feel that today. I actually felt confident in our defence. Did you?
